Gilmar offers you this spectacular palace house located in the heart of Puerto de Santa María. The house dates back to 1732, but has been completely refurbished with extraordinary taste by the owner. As many of the original elements as possible have been preserved, such as the exposed wooden beams, marble floors, tiles, mahogany and Flanders pine doors, etc. The rest has been replaced with original elements rescued and carefully selected from the rubbish dumps of other old houses, resulting in this spectacular home. Other decorative and ornamental elements have been brought from countries as far away as India, which the current owner has been able to combine with excellent taste and mastery.
Another noteworthy detail is the meticulous restoration of the entire façade with original oyster stone, giving the house that touch of distinction so typical in the construction of the Port. Its wide walls, the spaciousness of the rooms, the high ceilings and the comfort provided by its furniture and decorative elements, make this house a unique and exclusive home ready to be lived in.
The distribution is as follows:
Ground floor: spacious entrance hall with high ceilings and exposed wooden beams leading to a large central courtyard around which the whole house revolves. There is a covered outdoor summer dining room and the courtyard can be bordered by a covered gallery formed by arcaded columns, decorated with ornamental flowers. Some of the walls have handmade tiles dating from the 15th century. The different rooms of the house that revolve around the courtyard are two large bedrooms, each with an en suite bathroom, air conditioning hot/cold, a large garage with access from the street through an automatic door, a separate kitchen with pantry and office, a large living room with four large windows, three facing the street and one facing the inner courtyard. The living room and dining room are separated into two areas by a beautiful wooden archway. Finally, there is a large room dedicated to the wine cellar, where there are several wine casks, a wine rack built into the wall, a refrigerator to keep the temperature of the wine bottles, a bar and a table to play cards.
First floor: it consists of a landing that gives access to a large bedroom with fireplace, high ceilings and en suite bathroom, as well as a large terrace with different areas: solarium area, a dining area with iron tables and chairs and a hammock, and another area for barbecue. Finally, there is a covered shed with washing machine that also serves as a storage room.
